The case against Abubakar Danladi, a former acting governor of Taraba state, and two others accused of diverting N450 million has been dissolved by the Federal High Court, Taraba State division.
Justice Stephen Pam who conducted the court gave the ruling on Wednesday which announced that the allegations against the accused lacked merit.
The court also ordered the EFCC, to refund the sums of money recovered from the accused persons, in the course of the investigation.
Tony Orilade, the acting media assistant of the EFCC confirmed the ruling and added that it would appeal the ruling.
The EFCC questioned the ruling, describing it as worrisome. “The decision of Justice Pam, to, therefore, rule that the charges against Danladi, and the others “lacked merit”, is indeed, worrisome and tragic.”
