In advance to 16th February presidential and National Assembly elections, President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday advised Imo State electorate to vote candidates of their choice, irrespective of political or religious preference
He stated this at the APC presidential campaign rally held in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The campaign was attended by many chieftains of the party, including Adams Oshiomhole, the party’s National Chairman, Chris Ngige, the ministers of Labour/Productivity and Transport and Rotimi Amaechi respectively.
Others present are Ken Nnamani, the former Senate President, Governor Rochas Okorocha and Senator Hope Uzodimma, the party’s governorship candidate in the state, among others.
The President also confirmed his interest to fight corruption in the country.
He also stated that apart from achieving food security and improving the economy, he had also tackled insurgency in the country.
Oshiomhole said the President had been fair to all sections of the country in political appointments and in the provision of infrastructure.
He also said that there was no connection between APC and any other political party in Nigeria.
Governor Okorocha also applauds President Buhari for his administrative attainment.
