Three person were reported killed in the armed robbery attack on a commercial bank in Ila Orangun, Ila Local Government Area of Osun State. Those killed were identified as a policeman and two civilians. An unspecified amount of money was also carted away by the robbers after the raid, which was said to have lasted over two hours.
The robbers numbering about 15 were said to have launched attack on the bank, by announcing their arrival with gunshots, which sent residents scampering for safety. The bank’s security doors were blown open with dynamite for them to gain access into the banking hall.
The sporadic heavy shooting by the robbers brought all activities in the area to a standstill. d
