Chelsea has announced that former Super Eagles’ star, Victor Moses has finalised a loan deal to Turkish club, Fernerbanche for the rest of the season. This means that he has rejected the offer to make a permanent move to China.
Chelsea had wanted to sell Moses outright during this January transfer window, but the Nigerian turned down the chance to move to China, opting to go to Turkey on a temporary deal. His current contract with the London club runs until 2021, but he has lost his first team position under new manager, Maurizio Sarri.
Moses played a major part in Chelsea’s Premier League title win in 2016-17 under former manager, Antonio Conte while also remaining a regular in the last season.
However, his fortune in the team nose-dived when Sarri took over and adopted a a 4-3-3 formation as against Conte’s former 3-4-3, which made use of Moses as a right winger.
He has had only five appearances in all competitions this season and mostly been used by Sarri as a wide forward/ Fenerbahce also are struggling this season and presently are15th in the Super Lig table having won just three league matches won and are just two points off the bottom of the table with relegation from the top-flight staring them on the face. 000003e0003
